Passionflower for anxiety
My GP and gastroenterologist (I have anxiety induced IBS) have recommended I take antidepressants.
I may be cutting off my nose to spite my face but I’m really not keen due to possible side effects and weight gain etc.
After doing some research online I see that passionflower gets good reviews for relaxing people.
Has anyone had any experience with this?
Re: Passionflower for anxiety
I haven't used it for this purpose personally, but I have known people who had social anxiety who used it as part of their overall health program. It's relaxing, and to the extent relaxing eases social anxiety (the issues can be complicated), it helps. But it isn't a "cure" in and of itself.
