I'm going to try calling again today to see if I can get an appointment. :yesyes: No point going to any of the clinics because they just look you over, and send you on your way...
Felt pretty good this morning, the warmer weather is helping for sure! Don't think I had any sweaty episodes last night or anything like that.
Still getting the odd symptoms, and feeling nodes all about the place too. None of them are "swollen", but they're driving me mad. Especially one in my groin that is either a sausage shaped node, or just a weird tendon. (I have no idea what it is tbh!)
Thanks again BBUK! The cheque is coming from Canada so it might take a while to get there. :D

Got one! :D Bit of a wait, but not too long I guess. Hopefully I feel 100% better by then, and I can get one of my more minor worries addressed. :yesyes:
Will keep the thread updated if anything changes before then.
I'll have to get my PP renewed first, but will do! :D
Almost forgot... Bowels actually seemed to be working normally again today too, so that was probably some HA induced worrying right there.

2 weeks time, should be able to survive until then. (J/K :winks:)
Yeah it's definitely my HA giving me a lot of trouble, but my anxiety was only kicked into high gear by whatever was/is attacking my body. Just wish I knew what!
I'm usually anxious/hyper, but don't usually get that many physical symptoms. The full list of the things I've had is as long as my arm :roflmao:. I should really post it here sometime so people can see just how many symptoms a virus and anxiety can really cause. It's pretty shocking!
I think I'll do that when I'm back to 100%, because not being able to find fully relatable threads/posts adds another layer to the whole anxiety thing for me.
On the TMI/BM front... I'm not even sure if 2 days without going would normally bother me to be honest! Probably another case of HA turning something normal/unnoticed into a worrying symptom.
Chat soon! Hopefully with more even positive updates. :yesyes:

Hello again TG! First of all you're more than welcome, seeing other people can have what I'm (probably) having is helping me as well so thank you :D Also great news, sound like you're getting things in order, sure two weeks will go by quickly! And yes viruses paired with anxiety can cause all sorts of symptoms..
Thought I'd stop by again as this time I feel like I need a bit of support myself. After the doctor fobbed me off I've been feeling like I need to pursue this just to get it off my mind, request a chest x-ray and a neck ultrasound so that I know if there are any other lymphnodes that could indicate something more serious, apart from the ones I can feel. I still feel mildly feverish which no one can explain, and feel out of breath sometimes so I should maybe get a second opinion?
I also feel that everyone around me is now starting to think I'm going nuts and that my health is all I can think of - which is partly true, it does consume me sometimes but I just can't help myself thinking that this is serious and I'd be better off looking at it sooner rather than later. I have moments where I think 'it's ok if it's a virus it will just go one day and if it's lymphoma or something then it will show itself and I'll get a diagnosis and treatment and it will all be fine. But I also have moments where, in my frustration about not being in control, I just think it has to be more than a virus and will get missed and then by the time I find what it is it will be too late
Sorry for the blabber, just thinking since i already started talking about my issue here I would't start a new thread (for now).

It's not too bad I guess 2 weeks did you tell them it was quite urgent? In the uk it's a bit different but you still have to ring each morning at 8:30 (for my surgery) to get appointment the same day and I don't do early mornings
lol. Years ago you could ring at 10 am for afternoon appointment but those days have long gone. Tbh Anxiety can mimick symptoms and certainly make those appear to worse than they are. You are thinking logically here when you say something that wouldn't normally bother you is now making you worry then that's the illogical thinking kicking in. Deffo chat soon mate look after your self and soon you will be slaying the HA dragon:yesyes: ATB

Hi Sabbine that's the thing with HA you can have loads of tests etc done and still not be convinced that physically you are fine, it is HA once HA gets a hold then your thoughts emotions are all over the place so try and get a referral so you can start your recovery ;) ATB

Hey Sabbine! :D I'm in the same boat with that! Really helps to find others experiencing the same thing. That long thread on Steady Health has really helped me with that :D. (Assuming that's the one you were talking about?)
I'd love to help if I can! I feel like I'm getting there, but there's still a few symptoms lingering that are worrying me just like yourself . Night sweats and the chills being the 2 big ones. I can't get over the lymph nodes either, "surely I shouldn't be able to feel so many?" keeps going through my head. None of them are truly "swollen" though, all under 1CM apart from one in my groin which is probably bigger because I can't stop touching it.
I get the breathlessness too, but mine seems to manifest more as fatigue/tiredness. I don't pant or anything, but feel winded/dizzy after doing very little effort. Is your's like that?
"just think it has to be more than a virus and will get missed and then by the time I find what it is it will be too late"
This is me too! But I try to remember FMP's words "Cancer is an uncontrolled growth." I don't think anything is growing out of control, everything seems the same as it did 2 weeks ago, I'm just not really getting better either.
What symptoms are you currently experiencing?
I'm sure we'll both get out of it eventually, just not used to being ill for such a long period of time. I think that is one of the things that throws you off guard? Like a cold or even a nasty flu usually passes fairly quickly for me, but this is insane! :roflmao:

Hey TG while it's good to compare each others symptoms this too can drag you in the rabbit hole deeper this is not a place you want to be in. and yeah keep that quote from FMP in your head these are wise words, some viruses can get a hold and take ages to get rid of but they aren't serious ;) ATB

I could get an appointment tomorrow, but it'll be at the walk-in clinic and it'll probably be a case of "everything looks normal, see you later", or "there's nothing we can do here" or whatever. Will just have to wait.
Is it urgent? I hate that word :roflmao:. if I take a turn for the worse I'll probably end up straight down the ER anyway. (I very much doubt that'll happen! :D)
I remember being able to get Doctors appointments easily when I lived in the UK too, wonder why that changed? (politics aside :shades:)
Will beat this HA dragon for sure! Just want to be sure my concerns are addressed like Sabbine. :D I'm sure that sounds like a classic HA thing, but these aren't "normal" symptoms to me.
That's where all the anxiety comes from I think (apart from that attack on what felt like the adrenals mentioned above). The unusual nature of it all. I've had cold hands/feet before, sure! But not chills and/or hot flashes too, plus feeling like I could feel asleep at any moment, sweating in bed. etc. etc. It's like too many things all at once.
