Do you want the NT answer? Or the autistic one? :roflmao:

Hiya all, how is everyone doing?
Just coming on for some advice really. My partner has had two boughts of vertigo recently, and the recent one which happened on teh weekend was accompanied by loss of hearing in one ear - which has now got better. However after going to the GP, the doctor has made a preliminary diagnosis of Meniere's disease, but has also made a non-urgent referral to the ENT specialist to confirm. Needless to say, my partner was very shaken up after this news, as was I. Even though it's not life threatening, it's still a bit of a shock. Tbh, Meniere's had crossed my mind after her recent bought - I only knew about it throiugh my years of googling and my own personal tinnitus issues.
My question is, does anyone else suffer with this and what to be expected? Very mixed things online about how the disease progresses.
On a more selfish note, I had to have a procedure done today (burning a hole) to release blood under my big toe nail. Had it stamped on in football last night and it's been very swollen, painful with quite a bit of blood underneath. However I'm now starting to worry about infection as it's an 'open wound' now! I wish I didn't go to get it seen, I only wanted some advice on how to look after it.
Leg aches and sore knee joints can have various causes, and it's important to consult with a healthcare professional to get an accurate diagnosis. However, I can provide you with some common reasons for these symptoms and general information about using massage for treatment.
Possible reasons for leg aches and sore knee joints include:
- Muscular strain: Overuse or excessive physical activity can lead to muscle soreness and aches in the legs. It's important to rest and avoid further straining the muscles.
- Joint inflammation: Conditions such as arthritis or tendinitis can cause inflammation in the knee joints, leading to pain and discomfort.
- Pregnancy-related changes: During pregnancy, hormonal changes and weight gain can put additional stress on the joints and lead to leg aches and sore knees.
- Poor posture or biomechanics: Incorrect posture or improper alignment during activities like walking or running can place excessive strain on the leg muscles and knee joints, causing discomfort.
Regarding massage as a treatment, it can provide temporary relief for muscle soreness and tension. Here are some general tips:
- Consult a professional: Consider seeking a licensed massage therapist with experience in treating musculoskeletal issues. They can assess your specific condition and provide appropriate massage techniques.
- Gentle techniques: Massage techniques such as Swedish massage, gentle kneading, and long strokes can help promote relaxation, increase blood flow, and reduce muscle tension.
- Targeted approach: If the soreness is concentrated in specific muscles or areas around the knees, the therapist can focus on those areas to provide more targeted relief.
- Heat therapy: Before or after massage, applying a warm compress or taking a warm bath can help relax the muscles and provide additional relief.
However, it's important to note that massage alone may not address the underlying cause of your leg aches and sore knee joints. It's recommended to consult with your doctor or a healthcare professional to determine the root cause and develop a comprehensive treatment plan that may include physical therapy, exercises, pain management strategies, or other interventions specific to your condition.
Dunno what the above post is all about.
Anyone with experience of Meniere’s? My partner is pretty shook up, and all the gp did was give her a leaflet about it.
To top this week off I had another mucousy accident this morning! So back on the bowel worry now, dont understand why after a good six months
Great, I've passed lots of mucus again tonight before going to toilet. Worrying. Should I go back to the docs to investigate again??
Do what you feel is right Mr. L. Any reassurance offered will be countered by the dragon anyway

I'm having a mild worry about heart failure right now.
About three weeks ago I noticed that I was generally a lot weaker than normal and more breathless when doing strenuous exercise like running up hill or cycling up hill, and also struggling to lift as many weights as I was - I hadn't lifted for around 3 weeks prior to this.
I feel a bit stronger now, however the breathlessness is still there, and I'm getting concerned I have early onset heart failure. I can walk around the woodlands fine for around an hour, but once I hit a hill or steep slope I start breathing heavier than normal. I also managed to play 50 mins of football last week, but I didn't feel as fit as I have done.
Does anyone have experience of heart disease/failure?
Sounds like old age to me lol
I have had a heart attack so part of the heart is irreparably damaged and there is no way I could walk for an hour or play football.
I think you are over-worrying here but if you feel you need to get it checked out then see your GP.
I'm tending to agree with Nic here Mr Lurcher.
And if you can play football then I don't think you have much to worry about. Think logically, most professional footballers retire in their early 30s for a reason.
