Re: My recovery from burnout/nervous breakdown, anxiety and depression
Fantastic post, and one that will help alot of people see that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I too have found that my anxiety will always flare up when I am not only mentally exhausted, but more physically exhausted, and I think its my body's way of saying', 'You need to slow down!' I have just started back on my meds, after being off them for a year (I've been on and off them for 9 years now) and am struggling a little as it is only week one, but I know that the next few weeks will fly and I will be feeling better in no time at all.
What we need to remember is that we need to make time for ourselves. As a mother of 6, (5 still at home) I find that my whole day is spent on cleaning, washing, cooking etc....from 6am to 9.30pm, I rarely stop and have not made any time for myself at all. I am determined now, that I will have some 'me time' and whether its just getting back to the gym, or going for walks...I need to do it for me.
Good luck all!
