Exactly.
Perhaps it's time to start security tagging the avocados? Failing to scan your humus should set the alarms off.
Now that they have a term some politician, possibly a failed returnee, will start a hugging campaign?

So for once the Daily Express are actually telling the truth and not crying wolf then?
I also find it most ironic that they're mostly pointing the finger at the middle classes unlike their more usual digs at the likes of the working classes, foreigners/ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, etc.
But then again, lawbreakers can come from all walks of life.

Over my dead body!

Indeed. All those white collar crimes aren't being committing by check out oppos. Fraud has long been a fave of the middle classes when it came to crime. And tax evasion.

I wonder if we will follow suit?
Lenco, with smoking I think you would be ok. A hell of a lot of non smokers would be fine with it and they cross every political boundary. And, those massively progressive people that did smoke...would moan their heads off because smokers always have no matter what their affiliation. It's another one of those broad churches where you would have a smoking peace activist standing in solidarity with some nazi skinhead.

According to the linked article from The Guardian, the proposed policy on smoking that was drawn up by NZ's previous govt has basically been cancelled before it was intended to come into force next year by their new govt. So all in all nothing actually happened.
I'm sure I read somewhere a few years back that one of the reasons some people voted for Brexit in 2016 was because they believed that our smoking ban might be scrapped, despite the fact that our smoking ban actually predates whatever bans/restrictions exist in mainland Europe.
Furthermore, there doesn't appear to be any hard evidence of many Brits clamouring for our indoor smoking bans to be scrapped right now.

You're right Terry; they're the ones who seem to get off scot-free the most, while nearly everyone else are easy pickings.

You have to laugh at Welby. One of the costs being the money, or pound of flesh, demanded by the church. Burials are quite expensive. That little bit of soil has no real value yet the church will charge you quite a lot for it. Why? Its redundant land.
So Welby disagrees with the wishes of the dead. It's their decision and should be respected. They are more interested in helping their loved ones than allowing greedy people get their claws into your estate. Surely that's what loving, responsible people do?
Once upon a time a man walked the land in sandals and simple garb. He did so much good he inspired billions of followers. His representatives on earth live in expensive buildings with expense accounts. If this man ever returns he will shake his head in despair at those creaming money off the poor box.

That's a good point Terry.
I'm sure that could also apply to weddings and divorces.
