In all honesty its that kind of post from Shadowhawk that could drive someone over the edge. I'm afraid enough as it is.

I'm quite happy to leave it to the many highly qualified people around the world collaborating on stopping it in it's tracks just as they did with Ebola, Aussie Flu, Spanish Flu, Swine Flu, the list goes on. Me? Just been out to do some shopping and nothing looks any different to any other day.
We aren't thinking positive, we are thinking rational.
It's not headline news anymore in the UK
Noooooo its not.....and I'm not even going to use the B word. Irrespective of if you are pro B or anti B, everyone is fed up with it.
Summed up nicely.Quote:

Yeah, totally different Nancy, you can start screaming, wailing and wearing an 'end is nigh' sandwich board the moment that happens !
Lets think about SARS, which incidentally we all lived through and remember, right ?
So, even those who are mathetically weak, like myself, can see that at this isn't as 'fatal' . However, WHO make the point that it isn't the 'fatalness' which is the issue here, its that people are contagious before showing symptoms, their symptoms may not be that bad and be very mild so they don't need medical attention (therefore spreading it further) and is as a virus, in an evoluntionary sense, more astute. Therefore it is spreading quickly and their concerns are countries without strong health systems and the vulnerable within those.Quote:
Coronavirus currently has 9,900 infected. (but still a long way to go on it and estimates are that there are many more infected)
SARS 8,096 infected by the end of the epidemic.
Coronavirus 213 deaths at this point.
SARS 774 deaths.

So, yeah, you know - I'm with Terry's wise words. 'They' know what they are doing and talking about, the experts will take steps necessary to deal with the situation as they have before and as they are now.
Now if it was the zombie apocalypse I think my first action would be to visit a few of my ex-bosses in case they had turned into zombies and I could put them out of their misery (or mine :winks:) with my trusty baseball bat https://yoursmiles.org/hsmile/mystic/h0505.gifhttps://yoursmiles.org/msmile/quarrel/m1326.gif:yesyes:
That's why it's a shame this thread has been moved to the HA board. Panic is contagious...more contagious than this virus. Rise above it, Fishman and remember what horrors your Dad has been through in comparison to this? It's not as if this virus is a "mystery virus" and cannot be identified or treated...
I'm using a soap which was bought in York..I'll keep you posted...has anyone heard of Death by Soap?:D (Joke!) I'll take my chances because it's a gingerbread one and it'll help with the nausea if nowt else!
