Yes it is, and it works, it kills the fungal that cause the redness etc.

Just had a bath and i pulled my foreskin back as far as it can go and i have noticed some yellowish/white patches right under the head. It don't look like smegma or anything as it looks like my skin but has turned a paler colour.
I'm seriously wondering wtf is going on? Could this be thrush?
I had something like this years ago , it was tiny red dots and peeling skin in patches on the end of my John Thomas . I can remember it was very itchy aswell !
Wasn,t with a partner at the time and hadn,t been for awhile , it just went on its own after a few weeks . I used savlon which was probably pretty useless !
Try not to stress to much mate you have been checked out so it will go when its ready :yesyes:
Its just one of them things i guess its because of where it is it sounds like some sort of fungal infection .
I know you will be doing this but i,m going to say it anyway (sorry), keep the area very clean and dry apart from the cream on it and it should clear up pretty quickly .
This is what i love about this site you can talk about these things without feeling embarressed , guys are hardly going to bring the subject on a friday in the pub while chatting to there mates .
I have been using athletes foot spray which stops the itching and keeps it dry. Not had any new bad outbreaks but there are still a couple of little blotches here and there.
Have another doctor's appointment next Friday so hopefully they can give me something a bit stronger for it.
Going to ask for a diabetes test as well.
Well back from another visit to the doctors who is now saying it doesn't look like thrush. She said if it was thrush i would have other symptoms such as itchiness, smegma build up and discharge etc and that the treatment she gave me would have cleared it up.
She said that it's normal and i will have to learn to live with it and it's only a big deal because i keep looking at it. Well WTF does she expect? My penis looks like it's about to fall off!
I'm really baffled. I'm sure people don't get rashes on their penis for no reason.
Hi Worried
I'm sorry that you are so worried about your penis. I know I'm not a bloke but I have seen a few penises and many of them have the little spots and pale patches you describe. I think you need to stop putting anything on it at all and concentrate on addressing your HA. stop checking it and distract yourself, I'm sure that pulling the foreskin back to inspect it so often is not doing it any good.
I know it's no easy when you are so worried but please accept that there is nothing wrong with your penis you are just anxious.
xx
I think you need a new doctor, she's only a gp, you need a specialist, like maybe a dermatologist!
since it's "new" you should really get a diagnoses, ask your doctor to refer you to someone :)
Sounds like an allergic reaction to something. Soap, your girlfriends inner oils, Condoms, Creams, etc.....
Just change your habits for a month and see if it eases. As you see it in the bath maybe its something you put in the bath?
