Its a beautiful sound isn't it. Have you seen her using her chest and wings to make the scrape?
Yes, I saw her do that the other day. I could watch her all the time, honestly, it’s like ANY spare moment I have.
When I was 15 I flew a kestrel. It's not something I'm proud of now. In my defence I was kind of press-ganged into it by one of my Mum's friends who was a falconer. She was a beautiful bird though.
I know…when I was younger I went to a falconry show. Now all I feel is sad that these magnificent birds are captive and performing for people, but at the time I was mesmerised. There were owls, eagles, peregrines, buzzards, harriers and more I can’t remember. They were trained to swoop low over the crowd. Sad yes but I think it was the moment my lasting love for raptors was born. So not all bad.
Bird there at 6.55am….7.25am…and 12.55pm:yesyes:
You're putting me to shame Darksky!!
No…I’m not hovering all the time. :winks:
I run through the fast forward and catch her when she arrives. It was lovely at dawn when she arrived calling and then bedraggled at midday.
Both male and female there at 11.09am
An egg!!! Starting about 10.50am. Isn't it exciting :yahoo:
Very. :yesyes:
I watched every single minute of that egg laying. Rather wish I hadnt:D I found myself clenching muscles I’d forgotten about:scared15:
Will that be it now…just the one?
I hate it when she goes off and leaves it. I’m feeling a little protective.:D
