Re: Relapse! Coping, Symptoms and Tips.
That's lovely you shook off anxiety Carnation. Those events can be rare for us, which makes them all the more special when they do come along. However, I have to disagree with your comment about Cornwall having the best coastline. You obviously haven't seen Northamptonshire's coastal views, they really are something special...
Re: Relapse! Coping, Symptoms and Tips.
Thank you darksky, catkins and fishman.
Although today I haven't had the best day, mainly due to the heat. Its been unbearable.
I haven't been to Northamptonshire fishman, but I'll take your word for it. :)
Re: Relapse! Coping, Symptoms and Tips.
Cornwall coast line was amazing but definitely the busiest coast I’ve seen. I was shocked when I saw cafes and shops on the beach, just like being on holiday! 38c in Glastonbury yesterday where we stopped at one point according to the car!
Re: Relapse! Coping, Symptoms and Tips.
You must have been melting sunflower.
I definitely struggled yesterday. I couldn't find any room cool. Last night the humidity was 100%.
The fans were going nonstop and by the time I went to bed I still had the buzzing noise in my ears.
It's changing Tuesday.
Re: Relapse! Coping, Symptoms and Tips.
I’ve just ordered a fan to come today.
See if it helps at all, as I really struggled yesterday.
Re: Relapse! Coping, Symptoms and Tips.
100% humidity..that’s intense.:weep:
I expect the fan will help Phil, mine do. I’ve got one blowing on me now. Wet flannels on the back of the neck are good too.
One thing I do hate is sleeping under a sheet. I’m one of those who likes weight on top of me.
Re: Relapse! Coping, Symptoms and Tips.
It really is.
I will try the wet flannel!
Yeah, if I can make it to bed time without any major dramas I’ll worry about that then.
I’ve just got some food down me, because I need to keep eating and now I’m having a pretty bad panic attack. It the way it’s affecting my cognition that’s bothering me, I feel completely out of it.

That's me darksky.
I think the worst thing is the hot flushes because they are so associated with anxiety and PA.
Re: Relapse! Coping, Symptoms and Tips.
Carnation it was hot! We were flying back last night as well so by the end of the day we were both absolutely exhausted, hot and sticky and fed up. We didn’t get in until midnight and I’m thankful my partner did all the driving this week. Living so far north, we don’t have any motorways so I have no idea how anyone can drive on them and not be in a blinding panic when it’s busy. Even being a passenger I felt anxious.
But it’s always the best feeling getting home again to all your own comforts!
Re: Relapse! Coping, Symptoms and Tips.
Pleased you survived it all sunflower. :yesyes:
September isn't normally this hot.
Motorways I wouldn't do anymore. They can be a bit 'hairy'. To be honest I don't know how I used to do it. All weathers and all hours. I think you turn into some sort of machine. High alert is putting it mildly. Pleased those days are over now I've moved.
