Anyway I had cut down from 20mg to 10mg that week and was feeling tight chested and anxious.
Any advice and could the cit reduction have caused this?
Thanks

Hi Charlotte,
There's no way reducing your Citalopram caused that.
Take care

Hi Mark,
The last two weeks have been up and down.
I increased my dosage to 20mg three days ago, and I am starting to feel a little bit better. Won't be another week or so before I `level out' tho.
Thanks for asking. :)

Update
This is the worst day I've for some time, woozy, dizzy, can't concentrate.
Thing is, I'm at work and have a job to do, so I'll just have to get through it.
We all have good and bad days, and this is one of my bad ones.
Re: Coming off Cital after 2 years on 20mg
Sorry to hear that your not having such a good day.
I am very close to going back on at 20mg because I am just not coping but as I have been off for many months I just feel defeated, it's got to the point where my family are being affected in a negative way so I have to do something I just wanted to be drug free. Hope you get level soon and keep us updated I enjoy reading about your journey.
Re: Coming off Cital after 2 years on 20mg
MarkUK, I had to go back on cit last week as my anxiety has returned since Easter. I'm keeping my own diary on here too. It is very disheartening to have a relapse (especially as just a couple of months ago I genuinely believed I'd never feel so bad again, but now I have).:weep: If you feel you need to go back on cit, then do what's best for you. I had no problems getting a doctor to re-prescribe it.

Hi Sparkle,
Yes I have been following your posts, looks like I need to go back on but will leave it to next week & see how the rest of this week pans out.
Re: Coming off Cital after 2 years on 20mg
Another bad day today.
Got an appointment at the Doc's tonight to ask about Wellbutrin.
Re: Coming off Cital after 2 years on 20mg
Well, I've not had the best of times in the past seven days, but I think the increase to 20mg is starting to take a positive effect again - so that's good news.
My G.P has referred me to a Psychiatryst, to hopefully prescribe me Wellbutrin (Zyban).
My girlfriend and I are trying for a Baby, but because of the zero sex drive I have this has not been going well at all. Hopefully this will help.
Re: Coming off Cital after 2 years on 20mg
Really sore head today, hard to concentrate on anything at work.
Re: Coming off Cital after 2 years on 20mg
Worst day for a long time.
Zero concentration, wozzy, dizzy spells, and I had a wee panic attack (only lasted 10 minutes)
I've been conscious of having `pounding' in my head - at the temples and the front.
Not been sleeping too great either, maybe getting about three or four hours a night.
Re: Coming off Cital after 2 years on 20mg
I'm feeling a bit better today. No woozyness, no blackout feelings, not much of a headache.
I did manage to get a half-decent sleep last night.
Still getting the intrusive thoughts though.
Re: Coming off Cital after 2 years on 20mg
Glad to hear that some of your primary side effects are fading. That is a great sign. Courage!
