Can anybody recommend a wash basket?
I have ocd about dirty washing can anyone recommend a good basket I can keep if I have a family or pet?
Possibly one I can screw to the wall or a maybe one below with a pad lock?

Is there any way to lock the other one to keep me free of any worry?

Who's going to tamper with your dirty underwear?

If I had a family they might be in at everything
Re: Can anybody recommend a wash basket?
I see. You think someone could touch dirty clothes then infect rest of washing/house, etc?
You'd need to add bracket with padlock yourself I think. "Locking hinge" just keeps lid securely open. Looks sturdy though.

Found this one too
Re: Can anybody recommend a wash basket?
You can buy a padlock and hasp/staple: https://www.screwfix.com/p/hasp-staple-100mm/11422
MDF is also quite dense so you can apply screws unlike chipboard :lac:
Re: Can anybody recommend a wash basket?
Is this a practical solution or are you adding to your fears here? What if they contaminate the lid on top? When you put dirty undies in do you then wash the outside lid or do you place dirties in wearing gloves that are not used to close it?
Surely only celebrities, although pervs do exist, have to worry about knicker stealers? :winks:

It’s wet dirty towels that cause me anxiety I keep some of the other dirty washing on the floor. The towels get wet as I have to come in and out shower.
I have lots of worries if it gets moved maybe I need to screw the basket to the wall? Plus it’s contents need not be removed I don’t even let my partner do the dirty washing.
Yes it may not happen but if it was touched and it got anywhere near things I’d bin household furniture. So I have to figure out a solution
Re: Can anybody recommend a wash basket?
You could always put dirty laundry straight into the washing machine.
I think I agree with Terry on this one.
It would be more beneficial to tackle your fears
Re: Can anybody recommend a wash basket?
If this in the anticipation of having a family or having pets I do think that you will need to tackle the fears at source.
Babies and pets will spread much worse round your home, and that could be hard for you to deal with in your present state of mind.
