Has anyone suffered alot of bloating and constipation from Lansoprazole please :(

HI all. I have posted on here before about my issues with bloating, gnawing hunger pains, constipation and nausea. I have had a barium meal which showed just some slight reflux, i have had bloods done, tested for celiac, i refused the endoscopy as felt it wasnt something i wanted to do at this time as i was already on proton pump inhibitors.
I am now on the fod map diet and gluten free after paying private to see a dietician specialising in gastroenterology who said she wants to rule gluten out although i have had the blood test and negative.

I have been on this for a couple of weeks and it has been really hard and expensive! But i am still bloated, I was on 30mg of Lansoprazole every day but now on 15mg as trying to come off them gradually and i wondered they could be causing the bloating and worsening constipation. I would really appreciate your comments as i am feeling desperate :(

I don't have an allergy to gluten but I definitely have a sensitivity and food sensitivities can be problematic. I've also cut out dairy as that was causing me no end of problems..

RE bloating.. try peppermint tea or peppermint oil capsules with meals and also ask to have your B12 levels tested as deficiencies can cause bloating too..

Keep on with the LOW FODMAP. These things take time and patience. But be mindful that, just because something is LOW FODMAP doesn't necessarily mean that it's Ok for you. I have a lot of migraine triggers so I can't eat some things which are 'green light' so it's a case of trial and error..

Also, you could try a magnesium supplement (citrate) which is a natural laxative. Just don't take it at the same time as your Lansoprazole because magnesium can interfere with absorption if taken at the same time. Last thing at night (providing you don't take meds at this time) is perfect..

Thank you for your response :) it was very kind of you to give me your time ..I was also hoping to hear also from people that may have taken Lansoprazole to see if this has made them bloated and constipated as i am restricting my diet on the advice of a dietician but no difference at the moment. Please can anyone else relate to this issues?

I'm on lansoprazole but it doesn't affect me that way. Any bloating/constipation with me is down to IBS.
