Hello all. I am 50 years old and for the fist time in my life i am all alone. I was married for twenty years and then moved back to CO from PA to take care of my elderly disabled father. That was 2011, I spent the next 9 years taking care of him. He passed on Dec 30th 2019. Now its just me. I got a little Pekingese to keep me company and he has been wonderful. I am taking a road trip to SC in two weeks and am utterly terrified. All I can think about is all the stuff that can go wrong, especially taking a 6 month old puppy with me. I wish i knew how to focus on the good things but when I try I always end up back at what can go wrong. I also have extreme Celiac Disease which makes eating while traveling a nightmare.
