It's really getting to me I can't sleep

This is more of a rant than anything so I apologize.

But a few weeks ago (I think 2 or 3?) someone broke into the garden and attempted to burgal us before i think running off, we stayed up all night.

I haven't hardly slept since and when I have I've passed out from exhaustion.

I'm so terrified if my partner falls asleep before me I can't that night, I'm standing watch like a hawk and panicking so much every night staring at the window and the door.

the dogs would likely alert us and we're not alone his parents also live here but it's just hard I want my life back it's really depressing me :weep:

I can understand that, what a scary situation.

Perhaps some relaxation exercises will help before bed?

I might try some, those and asmr usually help me but having a particularly bad night and can't get myself away form the window at the moment lol
