Re: Today’s headlines .........
The headline probably should ahve been "RBS sack a load of staff" :whistles:

Here is an office space you can come into where you can talk about investment products. I think we already have most of what this is and we call them brokers?
Still, more cash into the RBS Xmas party eh? :winks:

NHS worker, 89, sacked over computer skills wins £200,000 in damages
When I first saw this I wondered if it was like when you can't pay the restaurant bill and have to wash dishes all night. 89!
My next thought was how does any area of the NHS get on with using a computer? I left school a long time ago and computers were used by everybody let alone enormous public services like these!

Extinction Rebellion co-founder sparks outrage after Holocaust comments
This organisation really does make itself look more ridiculous every time we see it.
Re: Today’s headlines .........
What a dickhead (let's see if that word gets trashed like *******)
I once had to share a "space" with an obnoxious white racist holocaust denial dickhead.
Any kinda discussion was pointless
Then one day he shocked the bejesus outta me by saying yeah the holocaust did took place but the Jews exaggerated the numbers (6 million)?
He said included in that number was gypsies, faggots, trannies, handicapped, Jehovah Witnesses, Soviets etc.
My take on it is that was additional to 6 million Jews.
Back to the climate dickhead above, he's probably just lost half of his membership
Re: Today’s headlines .........
Yeah, if they are aren't denying it totally they say the numbers have been exaggerated. For what end? To get sympathy or some special treatment? It's crazy talk because if they said 100 it would be 100 too many and still a terrible war crime!
This will certainly add to the people who are negative about XR. They get ridiculed a lot anyway as they are see as a bit loony. They are very white middle class types and not a black face in sight. They are usually gluing themselves to a train or some other daft stunt.

Modern "hyper realistic" masks can be so convincing that people often can't distinguish them from a real face, say researchers. The latest masks can cost around £1,000 and experts say they could be increasingly exploited by criminals as a disguise.
I guess all that CCTV won't be helping them track serious criminals anymore? Now they can just bung one of these on.

Im reading about the number of NDA's that some of the Tory poiiticians have got in place. Now I'm not saying that all these NDA's are for criminal or perverted behaviour but they obviously feel that they have something to hide. Apparently Raab, Davies and Johnson have NDA's in place and they may just be employee issues that they have had but again they must want the general public not to find out stuff.
NDA's for me are a real tool of the moneyed and privileged.

Like the super injunction this seems to be another one that was created with good intentions only to be abused by those who have power & influence. I wonder how many people work in top jobs who have to sign them as a matter of course these days as opposed to their contract covering them for data protection, competitor leaks, etc?
We've seen how NDA's are being used to cover up for sexual misconduct so it's obvious they need a legal review and some reform.
Did you see that sneaky abuse of Twitter by the Tories, Tony? There should be legal punishment for something like that. A silly game perhaps on a silly social media site but in purdah perhaps it should be treated with a bit more maturity and some heads should roll?

Labour's pledge would bring England and Wales in line with Northern Ireland, which has the most liberal abortion laws in the UK since MPs repealed the 1861 Offences Against the Person Act in the country last month.Northern Ireland was always exempt from the 1967 Act, creating a strange scenario where the country transformed overnight from the most restrictive part of the UK on abortion rights to the most liberal.
Have we entered some alternate reality? This is NI where the DUP are seen as political dinosaurs over abortion rights which just don't exist for women so they have to come here.
:roflmao:
Re: Today’s headlines .........
Their talking about taking our boys outta Korea. When I was there none of us ever figured out what we was doing there and the locals hate us. If the north want to attack they'll just lob a few missiles over the DMZ and we'll all get geeked
Only problem is what they gonna do with 30,000 troops what got no home any more? Iran would be my uneducated guess
