Atenolol for Anxiety

Hi All

Just wondering if anyone can help.

I take Cipralex 10m for anxiety and drepression and 6 months ago my doc put me on Atenolol 25m for anxiety symptoms - hot face, fast heartbeat and adrenalin etc.
The atenolol was working fantastic and I felt great, then about 7 weeks ago I came off them, which was fine at first but then my symptoms came back. So 3 weeks ago I went back on them but I have been suffering chest pain and my old hot face, panic symptoms back again even though I am back taking them! Strange. Would have thought by 3 weeks they would be back in my system and I would be feeling back to normal again.
Be grateful if anyone can advise!
