Re: Upset stomach for weeks
And have you considered getting an appointment with your GP to get this problem of yours sorted?
Re: Upset stomach for weeks
I will be doing so this week just thought I’d ask on here as is my health anxiety.
Re: Upset stomach for weeks
Anxiety can play holy havoc with your stomach. It certainly does to mine. It can last for months as well, let alone weeks. It may, however, be something that your GP can put right with a couple of well aimed pills. At least, the GP should be able to ease your mind and so hasten recovery.
I do do hope you feel better soon.
Re: Upset stomach for weeks
Thank you for your kind words.
As always with health anxiety, I just hope it is not something sinister.
Re: Upset stomach for weeks
Sounds like IBS - I too am in this boat and have made it worse by taking antibiotics which Ive not even dosed on properly haha. Best thing to do is check with your doc, but whilst Im on bland foods Im gonna try and cut out caffeine and sugar
Re: Upset stomach for weeks
Went to my doctor today, who also suspected IBS.
Will be having another blood test for celiac.
Re: Upset stomach for weeks
After a few days of relatively no issues, I had bad gas and cramping last night.
My anxiety levels are very high. Keep thinking I may have Crohn’s or something similar.
Oh man I hate being a hypochondriac.
Re: Upset stomach for weeks
So the blood test I had was invalid as there was a mix up of names by the lab. Unbelievable. Have to do it again which is frustrating.
I’m also concerned by my loss of appetite. I try to eat my meals but I don’t really feel hungry or crave a big meal like I used to. My weight has also dropped slightly around ~1kg.
What doesn’t help is that I read an article this morning on BBC News regarding bowel cancer in young people. Gulp.
Re: Upset stomach for weeks
Very anxious about bowel cancer now. I had a pretty normal bowel movement yesterday but today initially I had to strain to let out hard pebble like stools almost. Then after a short while of more straining, the rest of the stools were mushy and soft.
What could this mean?
