ocd anxiety turned into health anxiety by starting smoking?

have suffered from bouts of depression in my 20s, and also ocd in my early 30s(intrusive thoughts, it has shifted to a full blown health anxiety which started after starting 8 years ago, started smoking 8 years ago after depression and wandering if the smoking is the cause, also lost my dad at 15 who passed away in front of me, so perhaps the two could be the cause, any help is most welcome, cheers, damo
