I'm new to the site but I am desperate because my health anxiety is spiralling out of control and is affecting my life and my relationship with my family. My daughter, who is immunosuppressed, caught coronavirus a few weeks ago which was my nightmare, but fortunately she only had it mildly and is completely recovered. Since then I've had two major health anxiety spikes, one of which landed me in hospital. Happily, they could find nothing wrong, but i can't stop reliving the experience and the terror I felt (I thought I ws peeing blood and as I only have one kidney - I donated the other one to my daughter - I panicked). What can I do to try to get my health anxiety under control? I am having counselling, but my family don't think I'm putting what I learn into practice because I keep having these health anxiety spikes. I feel on the edge of a breakdown to be honest.
