Timing of tablet and drowsiness
Hi,
All going well so far apart from daytime drowsiness. I know I jiggled the timing eventually last time I was on Fluoxetine but I can't for the life of me remember which way round it was! At the moment I'm taking my 20mg in the morning - sleeping okayish - getting better... but I conk out a couple of times during the day. I've persevered for about 6 weeks, is it worth trying an evening dose instead? I do remember this passes eventually...

Had a google - going to switch to the evening and see how it goes. :)

On paper it shouldn't make any difference given fluoxetine's veeeery long half-life, but stranger things have happened so give it a shot.
Re: Timing of tablet and drowsiness
Seems to be working... I figured after a few weeks, delaying a dose by 12 hours wouldn't make a huge difference. I'm definitely getting further through the day without dropping like a fly! Although I seem to remember that does wear off eventually anyway. I had a near panic attack yesterday, but there was an extreme situation which provoked it and I think without Fluoxetine it would have been a full-on meltdown! Yay for drugs! :winks:

Yeah, they've kept me reasonable sane for 3 decades (though family and friends may dispute this...which is why I'm leaving my 'fortune' to a cat rescue charity :winks: ). They often get a bad rap, sometimes justified, but if I'd developed PD just a few decades earlier when there were no ADs my life post PD would have been a lot different.

Seems to have worked well.
