Re: Citalopram survival guide
If anyone wants to add their own advice and/or positive experiences with citalopram, please feel free to do so!! I'm especially wanting to hear from people who recovered from the side effects of citalopram or who believe citalopram has made a positive difference to their suffering! You can PM me if you don't want to post in this thread.

Re: Citalopram survival guide
Updated with vitamins and minerals which have proven effective against depression. These sound very encouraging and I would like to try them out.

Re: Citalopram survival guide
Such a brilliant post I love it - hope you dont mind me giving you one tip though, perhaps get rid of the word 'burden' when you talk about what should people tell their employers. xx
Re: Citalopram survival guide
Hi everyone, thanks!
This thing is currently running at 31 pages of A4! There are 16,000 words! if this was a story, it would be the longest I've ever written by at least 6000 words!
I might have to cut it down cos there's no way people can print 31 pages, they'd need to spend six months working out before they were strong enough to lift it all.
Re: Citalopram survival guide
This is really coherent for someone who claims they aren't a poet!
I've suffered from depression for the last 4 years on and off except this time round I have a boyfriend and I am not going to let this ruin our relationship. I got serious, this time around I went to a counsellor and I went to the doctor yesterday (although the boy did have to give me a shunt up the arse to get out of bed)I got given my citalopram today, and after panicking for about an hour I just jumped in and took my first dosage (20mg). I've felt really drowsy already but I'm not sure if its the meds or the fact I've not been sleeping well these past few weeks especially. I've also had headaches on and off for the last few hours.
Anyway, psychopoet, this write-up has been really useful for me, especially as i am a beginner to meds and actually admitting the fact that i need help. So thankyou, it'll be good to be able to refer back to this if needs be.
Here's hoping to get happier.
