Re: Dull ache near testicle
I had this on and off and I did not have a clue. I went to the doc and he examined me. He wasn't sure either so sent me for an ultrasound and everything came back normal.
In this case I would say to go see a doc, could even be a hernia, a pulled muscle or nothing at all. Best to get it checked out mate. This is a normal thought :)
Re: Dull ache near testicle
Do you still have this? I have the same thing on my right side
Re: Dull ache near testicle
]"""For the past 3-4 days I've noticed an intermittent dull ache in or near my right testicle. When I feel for lumps or swelling I find neither, and my testicle doesn't ache or pain at all when I poke and prod at it. Sometimes I feel that the ache is right in my groin where my leg meets my scrotum, buy other times I feel it's on the side or behind the testicle. This aching isn't there always, and it also seems worse the more I'm focused on it. When I'm preoccupied I kind of forget I have it going on.
I sit a lot for work, and spend an hour driving each day.
I guess my question is, is it common to have dull aches around the testicles? """
I had this problem a long time ago when I was younger and I had all the relevant tests with all coming back clear.
But the ache persisted.
I kept visiting the Dr who in all honesty was as clueless as me as to the problem and eventually made it obvious I was a nuisance and brushed me off at each subsequent visit, until I eventually gave up and decided if ain't killed me by then then it was something that had to be lived with.
It continued for years (intermitently)
Many years later during a bad attack I trawled the web and discovered that it is a fairly common side effect of a vasectomy, which I had had just before the problem first appeared.
I don't know if this was the cause or not but to this day I still suffer from it and wonder if that had been the cause.
