Gastritis / need endoscopy

1.) Have you ever had gastritis show up on an endoscopy? I did 10 years ago, along with a few small non-bleeding ulcers. I tested negative for h. Pylori. so my treatment was just to take a PPI for a couple months. No idea what caused the gastritis.

2.) Over the past year, I’ve been getting chronic heartburn and taking Pepcid twice a day. I also have this irritated feeling in my stomach area under my left breast. What if I’ve been dealing with chronic gastritis all these years and now I have stomach cancer? I’m feeling soooo much guilt for not getting any repeat endoscopies. I plan to schedule one soon but am terrified it’s past the point of no return. If I’ve had gastritis all these years, maybe it is cancer now and that’s why I’m getting heartburn. I keep crying thinking I’m going to leave my young kids behind.

I know I need to “bite the bullet” and get scoped, but man am I scared. :(

I had a similar experience to you and also have symptoms again. I think mine is anxiety related to be honest.

What about h pylori? My biopsy was negative for that so I just took a course of PPIs.

I was tested for that but it was negative
