So glad the GP was so good - it can make a world of difference, can't it?
But yes, definitely go out and enjoy the sunshine while you're young and you don't have anywhere else to be :)

Yeah, sounds like a good GP. Glad to hear this as you need a good relationship with one.
It's dog walking time :woof
Thanks Carys for the clarification 😊 I thought that FMP was helpful to me in the past. But I understand that his approach can be a bit harsh.
@Toby, thats great news. I am glad to hear that the darker blood did not concern her. I was concerned about it the whole day today myself. I think what might be concerning is very maroon colored stool (not just a tiny bit here and there but a lot of it) or tarry sticky stool (which is supposed to smell terrible).
Thats ok glittery, you don't need to take sides on this, everyone has their place here and people they help. :hugs:Quote:

Thank you everyone, yeah she was really nice. I'm glad she invited me back
Why do you think she invited me back though? I'm scared that I'm gonna go back and she'll section me or something, because we did speak quite in-depth about the issue on the first appointment although it was only about 10 minutes so what else is there to cover?
Is that possible?
I did say that I was at one point a little suicidal but that passed and after, towards the end, she was writing notes I think on the system or maybe an e-mail to somewhere and I was like "Just to clarify, I'm not suicidal anymore, all of that passed after I went on antidepressants and I saw the specialist" and she was like "Yeah yeah don't worry I'm writing that you're not suicidal" but then she kept on typing so I'm worried she was like, contacting a mental health service to come and section me? I probably made myself sound like a complete nutjob the way I was going on about thinking I was going to die and saying I was having nightmares about cancer and how I dropped out of college and now do basically nothing, but I did say I plan to get things back on track
She also said "What would you like us to do for you, Toby?" and I said "Well I know it might sound extreme, but a camera test would honestly help me so much" and she was nice about it but she said "You went to the specialist and you have your cause, and he performed a rigid sigmoidoscopy test, he even described exactly where he saw the hemorrhoid it just wasn't big enough to require banding" and then explained that they couldn't give out tests unless the patient was experiencing more alarming symptoms, and that I'm not anemic, not losing weight, the bleeding is very on and off and intermittent as well as a specialist saying I have piles and that I have no family history, as well as my age which makes it extremely rare anyway.
What do you think will happen on Tuesday? I'm wary now because I feel like I'm gonna be taken away in a straight jacket:scared15:
Though she did say to bring a list of symptoms and questions etc so maybe she wants to go through them with me to clear things up. Because she could see how distressed I was
I honestly don't think she's trying to trip you up, Toby, she probably just wants to spend more time helping set you at ease about your physical symptoms.
Believe me, you have to be a lot more of a danger to yourself and/or others to warrant anything as drastic as involuntary detention.
I think she will do exactly what she has said go through your list of symptoms to see if it warrants further investigation.
She sounds extremely kind! I hope she helps you get out of it. I think taking a list is a good idea.
She probably wants to make sure that they’re doing everything they can to help with your anxiety, and to make sure that you are heard. I’ve had a GP ask me to make a follow appointment for my anxiety before. Think of it as good customer service!
