How long should I give Inositol?
I started taking Inositol 3 and a half weeks ago (I started on 2g, then 5g, then 12g for the last week). I know some people felt the benefits within days. Has anyone waited 4-6 weeks before they felt improvements?
Other than vitamins & supplements (such as magnesium, fish oil, vit. B complex) the Inositol is all I'm taking. Can you suggest any other natural supplements that may reduce my anxiety symptoms? I'm waiting for CBT & am taking the contraceptive pill for low hormone issues (the low hormones cause anxiety). Although I've been prescribed citalopram, I don't want to resort to this until I've given the CBT & hormone treatments a chance. I'm just looking for some natural help in the meantime.
Cheers x

Re: How long should I give Inositol?
Inositol didn't work for me and it cost a lot of money. However, I've heard that it's worked for a lot of others so I would give it a least a few months.
I think you're right to delay taking citalopram until you sort out your other issues first. People don't realise that these are powerful drugs with sometimes bad side effects and should be taken only if your condition is severe.
Anyway, let's hope the inositol works for you.

Inositol didn't work for me and I was taking it for about a month, just don't think it works for anxiety but maybe for people with depression it does.

Hey jacko296,
I bought Swansons Inositol online & it came with a small cup that holds 6g (according to the label).
