Humorous exchange between myself and anxiety
Anxiety: My left hand is achy. Maybe I'm having a stroke.
Me: Your strength is fine and your typing is fine. I don't think a stroke would result in an aching hand.
Anxiety: I had this yesterday, too.
Me: Wait - haven't you been shoveling snow for the last two days? And you're right handed, so it's a lot of work your left hand is not used to.
Anxiety: Oh.

Love this! I go through the same all the time! It's a great way of working through your knee jerk anxiety reaction.

Ha love this too. I have been having similar convos with my anxiety.
Anxiety: Hey so now that your colon cancer and oral cancer fears were recently disproven, maybe you should feel your neck for an enlarged lymph node.
Me: Stoppppp. I’m starting to see how this works—once one worry goes away, you try to give me another worry to focus on. I’m just not biting.
Anxiety: but don’t you sort of feel something on your neck?
Me: If I did, it would just be hyper-awareness caused by you. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go try to enjoy my day.
Anxiety: ooh can I come?
Me: No.
