I can stop taking Mirtazapine without having abstinence?
For a week I have taken 7.5mg of Mirtazapine in addition to Escitalopram to help me sleep, my psychiatrist told me that if one day I have to go to bed late and wake up very early the next day I will not have mirtazapine, I can do it without symptoms of abstinence ? Thank you.

Did he say that you could just come off it suddenly? I don't know loads about Mirtazapine but I have heard of people discussing their withdrawals so I would double check. x

Just for one day,by stopping taking a single day does abstinence occur?

Hi Chris
With any question to do with drugs, you need to speak to actual experts, not just a forum for anxiety sufferers. I would have said the psychiatrist doesn't have a clue what they're on about (as is normal) but then I'm not a pharmacist and maybe taking Mirtazapine as and when (which is what I think you're saying) alongside Escitalopram is the best advice.
Speak to a pharmacist for reassurance.
All the best.
