Pregnenolone or other hormone precursors?

Anyone try them?

I'm currently taking the hormone precurser DHEA which does a great job at tackling thinks like my poor concentration and sexual dysfunction that comes from antidepressants + depression and low mood. However it does seem a little bit 'activating'.

Has anyone here tried Pregnenolone instead? It is known as the 'mother of hormones' and seems to be a bit easier to tolerate. The DHEA is a little activating at times, which isn't great if you have anxiety and anxiety-like symptoms - even at 25mg a day.
