Colonoscopy tomorrow - absolutely petrified
I have my colonoscopy tomorrow and I'm so scared.
I've been having issues with minimal blood on the toilet paper occasionally after a BM for the past 6 months. Then last week I noticed some red blood mixed with my stool and I know what this means. I feel sick all the time, I'm losing weight and I can't get the thought of cancer out of my mind. I'm 37, my mum had 3 polyps removed 4 years ago but apart from that there isn't a family history of bowel cancer.
I've just had a baby and since seeing the blood last week I can't stop crying, thinking of having to leave her before she grows up. I'm so so scared, this is the worst HA attack I've had.

Your age practically excludes cancer possibility. All these symptoms can point to myriad of issues, all of them completely benign and treatable, made worse only by anxiety. Chin up, keep it up and good luck with your appointment today.
