I'm not so worried anymore about myself but if it turns out that my mum might have it then I'll also start telling myself that I have it too because she has it and my symptoms must be genetic bowel cancer
But thanks for reminding me of that list, if I do start obsessing about myself again, I'll try that method out. I appreciate it:)

I really think you should
READ THIS and take it to heart. I wonder what ever happened to him?

She did quit but started again at some point towards the end of 2016
I wonder what happened too. I know I'm catastrophizing but it's scary
Re: Have I got rectal cancer?
The worst part is, I can't force my mum to go to the dr's about this or get any tests so Idk what I'm going to do.
Re: Have I got rectal cancer?
Or what if my mum and I both have the same problem, cancer or pre-cancerous polyps?
Jeez this is scary

But you posted "she was" a smoker in Jan. of 2018  As far as that other guy? Haven't seen him on the forum since that incredibly insightful and lucid post :weep:
Anyway... Carry on...

Toby, you can't rely on Terry and Carys to reassure you no matter how much you want them to interact with you.

Well that was a grammatical mistake then
Re: Have I got rectal cancer?
Keeping reading your post over and over again rather than touting for replies on here? You have the insight to take responsibility for your HA and you need the confidence now to realise that you can reach these conclusions by yourself again.
Re: Have I got rectal cancer?
You don't actually need this thread. It's another cognitive distortion. You have the power to manage your HA as you have done before. This thread just serves as a reminder of your previous fears which have been discounted by a specialist.

Your Mum would go to the doctor if she needed to go to the doctor, she is 51 (I think you said, same age as me !) years old and quite able to make her own NON-HA-BASED decisions. So, therefore, you are going to do nothing.
