Mirtazapine and Sertraline
I have been on mirtazapine (45mg) for some time. I also take 2x100mg Pregabalin. The Pregabalin dose has just been increased due to a recent drop in my mood. If this doesn't work my GP. is suggesting dropping the mirt dose lower and possibly introducing Sertraline. Has anyone been in a similar situation? If so what was the change like?
Re: Mirtazapine and Sertraline
Bumping thread up for you Jools, as I personally have no experience of these meds, but as your post has now moved down the page of 'recent posts'...thought I'd move it up again.
Re: Mirtazapine and Sertraline
Thanks. I'm sure someone on here will have some experience on this.

Sertraline is likely to do more that mirtazapine and pregabalin as neither are first line anti anxiety meds, imho.

SSRIs may trigger some initial side-effects so the trick is to start on a low dose - no more than 25mg, 12.5mg may be even better - and ramp it up by the same small amount at 7-10 day intervals until you get to the minimum therapeutic dose. The recommended dose range is 50-200mg with most needing 100-125mg for optimum results.
