Challenging the OCD with cuteness.
So my main theme of OCD remains to be contamination, and hand washing. For years I’ve wanted to keep a reptile, but I’ve not been able to through the fear that they may have salmonella that I could pick up. I’ve decided however that this isn’t the way to live and I’ve been challenging myself everyday with the question of ‘does this action/compulsion/avoidance negatively impact my life’ if the answer is yes then I have been pushing myself to make sure this doesn’t happen.
In honour of this, everyone meet Apollo! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f2acda1b53.jpg
I have been holding him, feeding him, and changing his water for over a week now! Which a year ago I 100% would not of been able to do.

Heyyy, Apollo! He's a charmer!
Re: Challenging the OCD with cuteness.
He really is quite the character! He comes to beg/remind us its food time any time he notices us move.

Oh he's adorable!! Well done you! That's tremendous progress and a huge step in the right direction re managing your OCD issues!
Does he have a complicated daily regime or is it quite straightforward once you are used to his requirements re diet/housing etc?
Re: Challenging the OCD with cuteness.
He's lovely! Is he waving or striking a pose?
I think it's great you are challenging yourself like this. Pet ownership can be hard with anxiety but they are so worth it.
