Neck/Throat popping and discomfort

Hello, my throat started hurting a couple months ago but then it turned into a throbbing pain. My doctor felt that it was a result of significant drainage but new symptoms then emerged.

This past month, in addition to throbbing pain, my neck started to hurt below my chin. Also, my throat is popping when I push on it. Sometimes it pops when I’m talking or when I turn my head. I’ve also been experiencing some ear pain. The whole thing is freaking me out and my ENT appointment is still 4 weeks out. I can’t help but think the worst but perhaps it’s that mindset that led to these additional symptoms.

Has anyone experienced this or anything similar? Thank u!
