Pains on the left side of my ribs??

Pains on the left side of my ribs just where the ribs finish, anyone know what this could be? It comes and goes!!

I sometimes get shooting pains on the right side of my ribs. It will then go.

I strained my intercostal muscles once (muscles between your ribs) so much I ended up being seen too immediately with a scare of a blood clot/DVT.

It was incredibly painful but diagnosed me with intercostal muscle strain which is common. Does it hurt more when breathing in? The pain I suffer with comes and go always in the same place. Can be something as simple as the way you get in and out of your car
