Zispin (Mirtazapine)
Hi everyone
I've recently been perscribed this by my pdoc as I've tried Venlafaxine and fluoxentine but he said he wants me to try this as its in a different "group" to the others that didn't work for me.
I've never heard of these ones thou and feel abit weary..
Anyone know anything or tried them?
Any info would be much appreciated.
Love

I don't know very much about mirtazapine, unfortunatly.
I do know that it can take up to four weeks for you start to feel better.
There may be drowsiness and sedation if this medicine is taken with alcohol, or diazepam.
It does something technical with noradrenaline and serotonin and helps relieve depression.
Oh dear I'm about as much use as a chocolate fireguard aren't I.
Now Sertraline, I can tell you lots about that.
Love, light and Best wishes

These really help me sleep and like above they def knock you out after an hour of taking them!
Initially my mood dchanged..but last few weeks i seem to have come to a stand still.

Zispin helps you sleep but as for the anti-depressant side of it, well it didn't work for me. This means absolutely nothing though because what will/won't work for one will/won't for another.

Hi Fearflower
I have tried them. Remember taking the first one and felt drugged to the eyeballs but they react to different people. I was promised a miracle cure on them but they didnt suit me at all.

Dont mess up the best things in your life, just because at present you are unsure who you are.

from Blossom, I was put on Zispin, anti-med and the first tablet I took in the evening time, and actually fell asleep on the computer, and slept for 42 hours out of 48, but I was taking Diazepam, and the pscychiatrist new that at the time, so why he ever gave them to me I dont know. My husband was so worried he rang the hospital late at night, and was told to stop them immediately.
Everyone is not the same, maybe it was because I was on Valium,
Others I have known say they make you sleep, and can put on weight.
All the best with them

Re: Zispin (Mirtazapine)
This is a very old thread but hope you're ok on them. The residual drowsiness tends to wear off which is great as the sedative to help sleep remains. I've been on them for almost years and they've worked very well. Funnily e nough the higher doses aren't as sedative.
