Hi all,I have been on sertraline 50mg for ten days & I have a bad burning pain just below the sternum,stomach discomfort, lots of burping,its maling me worry more. Is this normal with sertraline does anybody els get this?

I was on sertraline and it gave me very bad stomach issues, so had to come off it. Now on Citalopram with no issues at all. All SSRI`s can cause some sort of stomach issues, most will go with time. If they dont then its a case of that medication not been the one for you. Sertraline wasnt for me but citalopram is. Maybe mention it to your GP if it carries on for a few more days and see what he says.
