Re: Vaginal muscle cramps
Hi are you sure its anxiety. I have had it years not often but when I get it its very painful and I usually have to go for a wee, I am never 100% whether it in one place or the other, I was told its not anything to worry about so I don't I just find it not nice.
I have to walk about when I get it sometimes and even then it can be difficult to shift.
Re: Vaginal muscle cramps
Thanks Alexandriauk, I am assuming they are related to anxiety as when they have occurred, I am so tense I wake with achy muscles, shoulder neck thighs etc....
Re: Vaginal muscle cramps
This can happen if you have hypertonic muscles in your pelvic floor which is probably linked to anxiety as you tense your muscles more.
Re: Vaginal muscle cramps
That could be what I get too. It does feel like cramp. I also get pain in groin pretty constantly and often urinary frequency but going to the toilet does not help, nor di painkillers.Dr thinks maybe pfd. Have any of you found anything that helps? Best wishes ruth
Re: Vaginal muscle cramps
I lay on the bed with my feet up on the wall and it helps.
Re: Vaginal muscle cramps
So pleased I'm not alone in this - I feel bruised, as though i've been riding a bike all day. It comes and goes but this week ive had it for 4 days - highly anxious. I've had a total hysterectomy so not much to go wrong up there but the pelvic muscles hurt and it does worry me so much.
Re: Vaginal muscle cramps
I used to experience this, yoga actually helped me alot!! I used to think I was the only one with it and it took my ages to talk about it but once I did I found out lots of others I knew had experience it also x
