They may come & go but when they come back you are again trapped in this cycle rather than shrugging them off and getting on with your day. Perhaps they don't take over your day as much as they could but why be on here telling us the same stuff over & over and asking the same questions if they are under control?
As for JFDI, it's not about strategy it's about just dragging yourself up & out. Strategy is needed in mental health work but you also need some push behind it to do the plan and that's where JFDI often comes in. A new name for something our classical ancestors did when faced with many horrors of life just as much of mental health is a rebrand of conventional wisdoms.
Nice tat, Venus. I first interpreted it as "Just F..king do it pussy" :winks::roflmao:
I am unsure my views on bins and dirty laundry will ever change but as I say I am worrying less about them they have taken a back seat as I worry about all these life decisions and decide what to do. The existential thoughts still creep up during the day and I wonder if I have any control over being here.

Does it really matter if you do or don't, though?

Course it matters if I had no control everything would be pointless I wouldn’t think independently which would be awful. I can’t think of a much worse thing. I mean most people believe we have free will to make choices though?
Re: Can anybody recommend a wash basket?
I think it's more complicated than that - there's a whole bunch of factors at play that mean our choices aren't always unlimited.

My fear would be being some sort of vegetive state and choices being forced upon us. Being honest I struggle to shake off the Solipsism I don’t believe anybody else is here living a life I believe it’s all in my head plus Truman show preplanned.
Re: Can anybody recommend a wash basket?
In which case, you may as well do whatever the heck you think you want.
Fairly sure I'm not a figment of your imagination, though.
Re: Can anybody recommend a wash basket?
I think your fears are all based on losing control and maintaining control is very important to you. Solipsism is an abstract topic which you don't understand so it frightens you. The more you read about it the more anxious you become but you're drawn towards the subject because you need something to worry about.

That is true how do I deal with that? It’s like flying you fear losing control or not being in control?
I seem sucked in with the theme. I thought I wouldn’t make it out to the shops today due to these thoughts.
To give you an idea since the wedding or before it I have been feeling down about my work my workplace is in a rough run down area. The town I stay use to be good use to have all the major shops but have since all closed down and it’s all bookies and charity shops. The north of England is quite run down too and usually that’s where I go for a day visit but it’s getting boring. I am very skint at the moment so that makes me feel low. Leaving the country gives me great pleasure right now but I feel down as I can’t afford to go away for longer. I may sound ungrateful but I am going to France in 3 weeks for only a couple of days really I went to go for longer. In Europe the shops are better no charity shops and its less run down.
Moving away is an option down the line but it’s a big decision. I was going to see my work about having unpaid leave so I can travel more. Seems dramatic as a few years ago I would never have wanted to leave the UK but now I can’t stand being here. Brexit and all the other carry on nationalists and independence in Scotland gives me more reason to want to move.
Problem is I have never been able to stop and take stock of what I’ve achieved I have been on a bucket list for over a year since turning 30. Once you stop “growing up” and begin to “grow old” time seems short and I feel I need to do more as nobody can guarantee living to 100. My gran is going to be 104 this year which is amazing. Other times I think I need a break and it’s no fun being here forever but I would probably welcome some sort of immortality and downloading the brain to an android or robot as it seems an interesting idea.
Re: Can anybody recommend a wash basket?
I remember studying "free will vs determinism" in psychology. I found it very interesting, but I'm more of a believer in free will. I suppose it's similar in some ways to the nature/nurture debate. I guess some things, like our genes, are pre-determined. I don't really believe much in fate, but that's just me.
What about a day trip to Edinburgh? Beautiful city. There must be lots of great places to visit in Scotland? I love Europe too so understand the attraction. There's nothing wrong with going for a few days. You could go and work in Europe if money is an issue and you want to go for longer.

P.S Venus, I didn't immediately see the poignancy in your tattoo. Love it even more x
