Did you look at the online courses on offer? Anything appeal to you?
There are free courses with the Open University which may be of interest?

Open University sounds cool. They even let us Americans take courses there.

I found an “Introduction to Psychology” course, that I have registered for. It’s only 5 hours, so I could do an hour a day, it’s a start!
Thank you for letting me know about the open university x

Intro to Psych was one of my favorite courses in college. Pretty much all psych courses actually. They’re very enlightening. I once thought I’d really enjoy working in the Psych field but my life had other plans :roflmao:Enjoy the course!

That's great, pb and I think you would find that type of course very interesting. I know I would too..Who knows..it could lead onto a more extensive course and I'm sure you would have a lot of insight into the course material.
That's made my day! x

Yeah, after you take "intro to psych" see if they have an "Abnormal Psychology" class. That one covers the disorders that we most commonly see on here like OCD, HA, Asperger's, Depression, Bipolar, etc.

Blimey..Is it really called "Abnormal Psychology"?? I think I prefer Neuro-Atypical.
Re: pb's Health anxiety worries thread
I’ve developed new symptoms and I’m not sure if it’s anxiety. I feel like I can’t breath, especially when going to sleep and keep waking up, this has only happened last night and for an hour Monday morning.I also keep waking up with headaches, this has been happening for a couple of weeks, I know it’s not my blood pressure, as I have a home monitor. I’m worried it’s sleep apnoea.
I still keep getting chest pain. I feel so stressed again and have hardly any sleep last night.
I really don’t want to speak to my gp, I’m still waiting for date for stress ecg , that I don’t want.
Today has just got worse, just received an appointment for a stress echo test, in December after Christmas.
Now panicking that there is definitely something wrong with my heart, do not want this test, got chest pains as soon as I opened the letter and think this must be angina, as I was so stressed.
I will ask gp if I can have an alternative test.
