Can you pull a muscle without knowing it?

Hi there Ive had a really sore leg at the bottom from just under the knee all the way down and it is really sore to walk on but I cant remember doing anything to cause that. I keep thinking it is a dvt but my leg although looks swollen is not hurt. I am particulary anxious tonight as Ive just increased my dose of bisoporol to 5mg at night from previously 2.5 as advised by Gp. I am worried as to what the side effects might be. But can you pull a muscle without knowing it. ?? Many thanks
