Nic, it's probably fine, but please make that appointment now to see your GP in three weeks or whatnot. Time will fly and before you know it you will have it properly checked out.

Can you not check daily for cancelled appointments that have opened up anyway? The sooner you can get in the better, just to be sure

I will pop down tomorrow and see if they can get me in this week at all. I am not worried about it really as I know piles can be troublesome things at times it was just that I have never seen these clots before. It seems that they are normal though.

Ironically it is 3 years ago on Thursday (my mum's birthday) that I got ill.

yes def better if its brighter red dark red is deep inside i bleed alot from there to dark and bright red also had loads of stomach cramps with it and had white discharge seem to have episodes of it but had tests and they found nothing. best to have a few tests done.xxx

Hi, did you ever find out what it was. I had one or two small ones attached to my stool, it was a hard bowel movement. I've been bleeding (light pink) on bowel movements on and off ever since but haven't really seen / looked very hard since three days ago. I have trouble with piles but this clotty thing has me worried.

I had a colonoscopy about a year ago (just under) and only thing they came up with was internal hemmies. Appreciate your reply. Thanks!

If you are taking aspirin, ibuprofen, Aleeve, (naproxen) or any other NSAIDs, stop. They cause perforation and bleeding. Clotting or coffee grounds means it is coming from far enough up to not be fresh.

I found a tiny blood clot on the toilet paper after I had a bowel movement. I have had lots of big constipation , I had bright red blood on the toilet paper too. Did you ever find out what this was?
