Thank you everyone for your replies

I've just been on one of the practise runs this morning, before next Tuesday's psycology appointment.

I was nervous but I did get to the clinic. My home support lady wanted me to walk to the door, which is 15 steps away from where the car was parked. The furthest i've done is 5 steps towards the door, and today I couldn't manage to get to the door. I did a few steps and did try twice.

A thing I am pleased about today is we were out of my house for an hour. That included the drive there, my attempts at walking to the door of the clinic, sitting in the car outside the clinic talking for a while, driving back and we drove back the longer way, then when we arrived outside my gates we had a chat then too. So I was pleased and suprised when she told me I'd been out of the house for so long.

    Thank you Alex,

I've just been for another practise run to the clinic this morning. I was nervous but once we were driving my anxiety went down. When we got to the clinic I managed a few steps and this time I felt more confident and stayed there a little bit. We also talked in the car for a bit afterwards.

Also a bit of progress this morning was, at times I've had difficulty eating with my throat tightening and the discomfort in my stomach. I had that again this morning but managed to eat breakfast despite this, so I'm happy about that.

My home support lady and I had a chat and we've both agreed that to go into the building, and have an appointment with the psycologist tomorrow is a big step and I need more practise really, as I haven't been able to walk up the path to the clinic door yet. So she's going to postpone it and come to see me more often for practise runs.

Just been out to the clinic again this morning, this time with my occupational therapist.

Because we cancelled the psycology appointment, the psycologist had the time free so she came out to meet me in the car when we arrived at the clinic.

I was anxious but we had a chat. She said it's ok if I want to practise for a while longer until i'm ready to see her in an appointment. They've set an approximate time scale of one or two months.

I also did a few steps out again today, more than yesterday.
