Ill try to keep this farily simple. I have terrible pocd and Im afraid that when and If I decide to get intimate again that my brain will be thinking something aweful, vile and disguesting while Im doing the deed so to speak. Can anyone here give me some pragmatic solutions for stoping these thoughts and trusting my self so I can just live a normal life?

Hi, The thoughts are terrible, i know, sorry to hear your going through it.
I had cbt for ocd many years ago and one of my main problems was the nasty thoughts. First thing they taught me was that they are only thoughts, its the ocd part of us that gives them way too much focus and control over us. They gave me some paperwork at the time showing a test they had carried out on non ocd suffererers and even they get intrusive thoughts its just that they are not bothered by them.
Its the reaction the thoughts trigger rather than the thoughts themselves.
I have been feeling bad again recently and was advised to get the book 'break free from ocd' its quite new, i haven't finished reading it yet but i do think it will help you with what you are describing. Hope this helps a little and you feel a bit better soon.
