    Starting tomorrow - side effects?

I am to take 1 40mg tablet a day to start with (is 40mg a high dose?) and I just wondered if the side effects are manageable.

I have emetophobia and feel sick all the time, I don't want the nausea to get worse, so I'm worried about taking the med. How is everyone else on these?

I take these and they have helped me get my life back on track. I did have a few side effects at first - no appetite, really tired, weird dreams but they have all gone. I take the 80mg slow release version so have a steady amount in my blood all day. This type works better for me but everyone is different.

My gps put me on them to help with my withdrawals from citalopram. They do have a calming affect. I was wandering can you drink on them? I took them years ago when I had an overactive thyroid gland. but can't remember if I drank knowing me I think I would have lol.

I don't like reading the enclosed leaflets I get with my tablets.

I like a wine (or three) and when I first started on these tablets I only had one wine and it knocked me out. As time as gone on and my body is more used to them I can drink without falling asleep. I'd suggest you take it slow the first time you have a drink and maybe drink at home to see how they affect you. I was on the same tabs years ago and I could drink no problem but this time they did affect me a bit differently

Thanks, a friend of mine is on 40mg and drinks no probes. I will see how it goes in a couple of weeks after I'm used to them!
