Blocked Throat feeling?!

Hi there, I have had a funny blocked feeling in my throat for the past 2 weeks, it is intermittently sore with an occasional irritating cough. The blocked throat is worrying me as I also have ulcerated gums so I am of course worrying about throat cancer!!

Please has anyone had this, its a really weird feeling. I have been suffering with heartburn for a while now so am unsure if all of the above is linked?

You really need to see your GP, it would be foolish for us to try to diagnose from your symptoms.

That said, I wouldn't worry about throat cancer, it's more likely something like acid reflux which is easily treated. But only your own Doctor can put your mind at rest.
