Social skills evening class/course?

Hi

I was wondering if there is such a thing, ideally in Norfolk/Cambridge for me. I've looked online but can only see only courses for children with learning difficulties.

I feel that the terrible anxiety I feel when in social situations is because I'm actually not good at it and therefore don't make good connections with people. I don't think the answer is to go out more as I've been trying for years and I am still coming back upset that I said or did so many stupid things. Books have never worked for me as they are just theoretical, is there a class where I could practically learn this with a teacher and other people?

never heard of anything like this, there should be something like you suggest, to help social skills, but you may have to just join a normal group and try to improve that way.
