Worm-like Yellow Mucus and Loose stools?

Since this past Sunday, I've been having loose stools with yellowish mucus-y stuff in it. It's coming out in balls, so it's not diarrhea, but the mucus is something I've never had before. I haven't noticed a change in the frequency of my bowel movements, but I have been getting VERY mild stomach aches this week.

I've also been sleeping really late this week. I woke up yesterday and realized it was already 11:15! I just finished a semester at school, so I've been staying up later and I'm not tired at all during the day, but I don't know if this could also be related.

This past weekend I ate pretty bad stuff. Nothing new, but I started a bit of a diet on Monday (hasn't really worked out though), so I went a little crazy with the unhealthy foods during the weekend. But it's now Thursday, so I don't know if that's related or not.

Also on Monday I had a sudden wave of nausea when I got up to work out. I didn't throw up, only dry heaved a bit, but I felt bad for a couple of hours and I found that my saliva was thick...or perhaps it was thick phlegm that came up, but it was clear. This hasn't happened again though.

I don't have insurance, so I don't want to waste a trip to the doctor unless I absolutely need to. I don't know if I'm being overly paranoid or not, but this is bugging me.

I'm a 22 year old female at a healthy weight with no food sensitivities or prior intestinal issues, if that makes a difference.

I've just posted a question very similar to yours. I've been feeling just like you for the past week! Forgot to mention in my question that I've been feeling a bit sick too. Hopefully we'll get some helpful answers, as I am fretting like crazy. Take care.
