    Citalopram now escitalopram

    Hi All,

After 2 unsuccessful attempts with Citalopram and Fluoxetine I have been put on escitalopram.
Very happy not to have the horrible side effects the other 2 meds gave me but I do have a very low mood and lack of energy on waking in the mornings that stays throughout most of the day.
Im on 7 days at 10mg - does the energy/motivation return?
I suppose its either this or wake up anxious/panicked - so lesser of 2 evils I guess.

    Hi

I think the signs on this meds are very encouraging so far. It is early days and you may find that you do have some ups and downs for a good few weeks yet.

I am sure your energy levels will increase, often I feel very tired when I am anxious.

I would certainly stick with them, I have tried a few different AD's and these ones have been the only ones I found suitable.

    So far So good!
