Bisoprolol 5mg

Hi everyone.

I'm relatively new to citalopram. Just on my second week of upping from 20mg to 30mg. Been back to doc today and begged for some relief from the constant level anxiety I'm experiencing, as well as all the usual side effects of cit. I was prescribed this beta blocker. Lowest dose. Has anyone had any experience of it either on it's own or alongside citalopram.

Hi Guys

I actually found this whist searching for something else on the net but thought i'd add my two pence ;-). I have been taking 20mg of Citalopram and 5mg of Bisoprolol for 4 years now. Originally I was on Prozac and Bisoprolol for about 11 years and then moved to Citalopram and find i'm less tired with it. I'm actually on the Bisoprolol for a heart condition but it has the massive benefit of helping my anxiety too. I took small amounts of Bisoprolol first to minimise any side effects but once up to the full dose it was fine. Good Luck

I am on 10mg Bisoprolol....have been for a few years now...no problems with this medication at all. I take with diazepam as the cit was not for me. It will help with palps, but I don't find it does much to relieve my anxiety...Good luck Kitti
