    Really really worried!!

My vision has always been one of my key links in anxiety, i have floaters and visual snow i wear glasses to see distances so short sighted is it? .. I have an eye test every 6months and im always told i have healthy eyes.
However!! When i look at things a lil far away mainly light surfaces i.e whites etv i notice like the edges are shaking a little and its really freaking me out!! I keep thinking tumour does anybody else get this or can shed some light on it?
    Im really worrying

Not being a doctor i couldn't say for certain, but it sounds like a simple shimmer. Bright and distant objects can shimmer a little, giving the appearance of shaking. Also, as you get older, the eye changes shape. It may be that you have to concentrate just a smidge harder to get things into focus. I really can't see it being anything more serious than that.

    Hi Kellylou,

If the eye tests say your eyes are healthy, I'd believe them. Eyes are among the easiest things to test, both for performance and disease.

Floaters are common and not an indicator of disease. I've had them since I was a child - I used to watch them on the wall, and see how fast they would move away when I focused on them. Still do - second childhood, perhaps?

Floaty lines or flares around bright lights at night might be an indicator of a disease such as glaucoma, but an eye test will quickly pick this up. Again, I see Vincent van Gogh level flares around lights at night, but my eye doctor assures me my eyes are normal for my age.

My advice is to recognize that your problem is anxiety, not your eyes. That will then give you a focus for treatment and recovery.

Its part of tension, dont forgot your eyes have little nerves, if they are tense then its going to affect your vision. Same for the ears, if the little nerves inside them are tense it will affect your balance, hearing and so on.
